A Blackjack table layout is fairly easy to understand and we shall now take a look at what you can expect to find on each one. We shall base this as if you are sat facing the dealer and shall work our way around the layout.

In the far left is the discard tray, this is where all the cards that have been played are played once each game is over. Next to this is the cash box, this is where the dealer places all coins and notes that he has exchanged for chips.

Next you will see the dealer chip tray, this is where he will place losing bets and pay winning ones from. On the right is of the chip tray is the card shoe, this contains all the cards that are still remaining in play.

Printed in the middle of the table are the game rules, they will clearly show you what a Blackjack hand pays, what the dealer must do when faced with a 17 along with the odds of a winning Insurance bet.

There will be a number of circles printed on the Blackjack table layout and this is where players need to place their wagers.

Around the outer rim of the table directly in front of the players is a chip tray and a drinks holder, along with, where permitted an ashtray.
