ow here is a totally unique Blackjack variant you will never have seen before, called 21 Duel it is the brain child of an online casino software provider called Playtech.
This game can only be found in online casinos powered by them, but players should be aware that they do not allow US players to play at any of their sites.
You need to forget the normal rules of Blackjack when playing 21 Duel, so try and clear your mind and we will explain how the game works.
Once you have made your initial wager the computer will deal 6 cards. Two of these cards are the Dealers, two are yours, the Player and two of them are classified as Community cards.
You will however only get to see three of these cards and these are one of your cards plus both of the Community cards.
You now have to simply make your hand using your up facing card and just one of the Community cards. Once you have made your hand you have three different options available to you.
You can play your hand using the first Community Card and doubling you initial wager, or you may play the hand with the second Community Card, once again
you will be doubling your initial wager. Or your third option is to fold your hand and by doing so you will lose your initial wager.
Now keep reading as this is where it may get a little complicated! If you have chosen to play then you may continue as you are with your original hand or should
you prefer you may hit your hand to make a 3 card hand, but by doing so you will be using your face down card.
You are only allowed to Hit once and you cannot Double Down or Split your hand. Once you have made your decision then the Dealer will show his hand.
Should the Dealers hand be a total of 13 or higher then he will qualify, this means your and his hands are compared and if you hand beats his then you
will be paid out at odds of even money.
Should the Dealers hand be less that 13 then the Dealer will not qualify to play and you will win your initial bet, but not your raise bet.
Should the Dealer qualify and beat the Player then all your wagers are lost.
In the case of both the Player and Dealer having a tied hand then all bets are returned.
The Dealer will observe a preset set of rules when making his hand which they call the house way.
This really is a unique game and if you do get the chance to give it a few hands then do as it will entertain you for quite a while, once you get your head around its strange and unique gameplay!
But remember you will only be able to play it online if you are from the UK or Europe as no US players can play at any Playtech online casino site.
